
GRANITE STONE HORSE TROUGH

This trough was sold in August 2001 to Beamish Museum by Mongers Architectural Salvage of Norfolk (via Salvo Photo Ads): It's a granite horse trough, probably late 19th century, with under trough for dogs and sheep, separate drinking fountain, in several pieces the body carved with 'METROPOLITAN DRINKING FOUNTAIN & CATTLE TROUGH ASSOCIATION'. It is10' 6" long and fully operational and came from Ipswich, originally located at Princes Street.
